My love of design is driven by a restless search for undiscovered forms and ideas. I’m most happy when sketching,
where lines and shapes can rapidly unfold into promising new avenues to explore. I tend to favor simplicity and try to hold true to essential elements.
Coming from a background in sculpture and filmmaking, Ian Fowler began designing lighting and furniture in 1994. Ian's signature look combines the clean lines of modernism with refined detail. His designs are sold through Restoration Hardware and Visual Comfort Lighting. Ian is a two-time winner of the prestigious Pinnacle Award for Lighting.
